Baby Murphy Reveal Party

Haley and Joseph are expecting a baby, and recently hosted a baby gender reveal party.  Dressed in many different shades of pink, I think it is safe to say everyone was shocked to see baby blue behind the covered doors.

This family probably looks familiar to you…a few months ago we were at the same location celebrating the gender reveal of Haley’s sister, Heather.   I am so honored to have the opportunity to share in both their big announcements.  These sisters are going to have their hands full with little boys.

 Congrats Haley and Joseph!

Layson & William Save The Date

Happy Wedding Week Layson & William!
I was so honored when Layson called me to create her Save The Date postcard.  I met Layson and William in college, and could not be happier for these two.  I know your wedding will be perfect!
Cheers to a long and happy life together!

HEY SUGAR!

This is why I love what I do.  I have been sketching this painting in my mind for several weeks.  So thankful when everything falls into place - the vintage dress patterns found at an estate sale, the sand (or sugar) brought home from a girls beach trip and my grandmother’s famous 5 Flavor Pound Cake recipe.   This is the largest painting I have ever created…5 feet by 7 feet!
I love these “sweet” Southern ladies – full of flavor and alot sass.

Fowler is such a big help in the studio.

My grandmother got her hopes up when I asked for her recipe.
Sorry Mary Ann - I didn't actually make one of your pound cakes.
No one can make them like you!

Sugar, spice and everything nice!

Homecoming

Old New Albany, Fair New Albany!

Several years have passed since I was back in the halls of my high school alma mater.  Homecoming at New Albany is rich in tradition.  The week of Homecoming is filled with many festivities for the students, which conclude with a community parade, pep rally and football game.  This year I had the opportunity to design the Homecoming shirt.  I wanted to incorporate everything that is unique to this very special school.

I was also so excited to see one of my sweetest and long time friends be honored on the Homecoming Court.  I can’t believe she is a SENIOR!

How classic is this photo?!

Maroon Velvet!

Do it like a big Dawg!

P.S:  Kelly Fay should still be this age to me!

Rebel Rush - Sorority Pillows

Door songs, dolphins, roses, teddy bears, owls, keys, and candlelight…it is that time of year again!

Rush at Ole Miss!  Wishing all of the girls participating in Recruitment good luck.  As an alum, this time of year also makes me nostalgic.  Not too long ago I was right in the middle, stacked in a door song, singing and dancing to the tune of Ice Ice Baby, and running down Sorority Row.  I would not trade this time for anything.  I will always treasure the friends I made and the memories we share.

So excited to debut my new line of sorority pillows at Oxford Floral.  They are all hand printed and backed in burlap coffee bags.  Each pillow is sorority specific, not just geared toward Ole Miss.  Like the young ladies going through recruitment, I know that my pillows will find “loving homes”.

Happy Rush!

Jen & James

How does New Year’s in New Orleans sound?
This is how one of best friends told me she was engaged.  Jen and James are getting married!  I am so excited about being a part of their big day and ringing in the New Year with style.  Jen has traveled and lived all over the world, but calls the South her home.  With a Masters in Southern Studies, it came as no surprise to me that she would plan a New Orleans wedding.  Bring on the beignets, champagne, and jazz music.  With a love for vintage dresses, architecture, southern history and JAMES, this is to be a glamorous weekend.

Congrats Jen and James!  Can't wait to celebrate with you in the Big Easy!
