double decker

The 17th Annual Double Decker Arts Festival was named in this month's issue of Garden & Gun as one of the top attractions in the South.  I would have to agree!  What's better than hearing some great music and eating good ole Southern food?  Having the opportunity to sell my artwork alongside some very talented Mississippi artists.   It was a beautiful day to be in Oxford, Mississippi.

I am a very lucky girl.  I want to thank my family and friends who helped make my trip to Double Decker possible.  Trust me - I could not have moved all of those pillows without some muscle!

This wasn't Parker's first Double Decker - he knew what he was getting into when he married me.
As my little brother says - "She comes with alot of stuff."

My biggest fan!

Watch out!  When Hellen has a Bloody Mary in her hand you are probably going to buy some artwork.

So honored to raffle a Baltimore Ravens pillow, autographed by Michael Oher.  All proceeds from the raffle were donated to The Boys and Girls Club of New Albany, Mississippi.
(Thanks Collins for making the delivery)

What's better than seeing old friends?  Seeing their entire family!  LOVE the Millettes.

So excited for my talented friend, Anne-Claire.
She is announcing some big news tomorrow...it is going to be BIG!

Just what I wanted in our yard?

Ready to get back to work in the studio!
Working on a few paintings that have been on my to-do list.
Busy week - but looking forward to some sister time in Jackson
and a girls trip to NOLA.

Have a great week!

baby holditch gender reveal party

I am so excited about this post.  I recently had the opportunity to help with a very anticipated “gender reveal” party.  Foley and Robby are expecting their first child and wanted to include their closest family and friends when finding out the gender of their baby.

The inspiration for the party was Foley’s favorite book as a child, The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown.  The color scheme was kept gender neutral with greens, browns and bunny rabbit white.  The custom designed bunny rabbit logo was printed on the invitations, party favors and place cards.

Foley and Robby encouraged their guests to wear either pink or blue to represent their best guess.  One of our design elements was a page for guests to write down their guess.  The page will be a very memorable keepsake, especially since Robby’s mother was certain Baby Holditch was a boy.

Foley and Robby anxiously cut into the rabbit cake
(strawberry cake would be a girl and blueberry cake would be a boy)

IT'S A GIRL!!!

Congratulations Foley and Robby!
Looking forward to many more parties with the Holditchs.
As a final note, I guessed correctly.  Proud to wear pink!

said his mother, "I will be a tree that you come home to."

hey yall!

So excited about 2012...getting back to business!  Finally decided to start a blog - what inspires me to create, current design projects and married life in Starkville, Mississippi.

I will be working in my NEW studio this week if you would like to stop by.  Getting ready for the annual Cotton District Arts Festival and the Double Decker Festival.  Printing pillows, posters, t-shirts and stationery.  Here is a preview of what I will be selling in my booth.

Hope you have a great week!
