miss mississippi

Grab your hairspray, hot rollers and lipstick!  It is time to crown the new Miss Mississippi.  I dedicate this post to all beauty queens - the ones competing in Vicksburg, the women watching from home, and the little girls who will be playing dress up in their mothers’ gowns.

Below are photographs from my college photography final.

father's day

I was writing this post a few days ago when I had a computer accident that no graphic designer wants to have.  Thankfully my prayers were answered and we are back to business.  Sorry it is a little late.

Happy Father's Day!

Dear Daddy, I am so lucky to have your love and support.  You lead by example.  You have many roles everyday, and excel in all of them.  You are an entrepreneur, a business man, community philanthropist, friend, son, husband and father.  Thank you.

ann carlton's canvas

Shake, rattle and roll!
One of my first blog posts featured Baby Holditch’s gender reveal party, which revealed "It’s a girl!"
I can not wait to meet Ann Carlton in a few months.  Hope she likes her canvas.

Every good and perfect gift is from above.

our wedding

Parker and I have been married four months today!  Time flies!  Since February 4th I have burned several slices of toast, lost the dog, found the dog, got lost in Kroger, and almost ruined one of Parker’s expensive non-stick skillets.  Sure glad he still loves me.  I think I will stick to creating art and let Parker do the cooking.

One of the exciting parts of planning our wedding was creating a design and carrying that design throughout our entire wedding.  We wanted our wedding day to be a reflection of our personalities.  I designed our Save The Dates, wedding invitations, programs, huggies, napkins, and a very large canvas to hang behind our cake table.

I love mixing different mediums in my graphic design work.
An oil painting becomes an engagement party invitation.

HANDPRINTED PILLOWS FOR BRIDESMAIDS

Since I am not going to be cooking anytime soon, I am looking forward to working with some special Brides this month.  I cannot wait to showcase their weddings on the blog.
Let me design a bridal suite for your special day.

Love you Parker - What's for dinner?
